I don’t have much time left for things not related to Everest but learning to play piano is like a massage for my brain after focusing on physical exercise. Sometimes the training is so tough that I feel my head is exploding and a strange smell of blood in my nose. Struggling to commit the fingers to the right notes and to read music for the first time, while being rewarded every time I get it right with the beautiful sounds is such a fascinating experience. Maybe piano is a bit the opposite of training in the sense that you can enjoy the outcome of your struggle immediately: you play well, and you enjoy beautiful sounds. But there is some common ground with training as in both whatever seems impossible in the beginning becomes possible once you try it for few times. You just need you mind breaking free and opening the door for the new you to come in.
